Yarradale Stud is situated on 350 picturesque acres in Gidgegannup, on the Darling Range escarpment of Western Australia. Yarradale also has 85 acres of irrigated pasture at Harvey in Western Australia's fertile South West where our weanlings, yearlings, and mares in foal spend several months of the year.
Yarradale Stud boasts a luxurious Stallion Barn, which houses our resident stallions. Other facilities include stallion paddocks, numerous group paddocks and individual yards – all post and rail fenced, 35 boxes in two stable complexes, well equipped veterinary facilities, 3 crushes, a foal watch facility, loading ramp, 6 round yards, a covered, state-of-the art, 8-bay horse walker and a newly appointed 700 metre training track.
Yarradale Stud provides quality horse knowledge, handling and care for mares, foals, weanlings, yearlings and racehorses.
Ron Sayers, a man with a passion for the industry, raced horses for over 20 years before purchasing Yarradale Stud in 1996 and has now established the property as one of the best in Australia .
Bernadette Hamill, our Stud Manager, has worked in the industry since 1981. Bernie spent four and half years working abroad at leading studs, in particular Cheveley Park in England and Three Chimneys in the USA where she gained valuable experience, working with Stallions, Broodmares and Foals, as well as preparing yearlings for sale.
Supporting Bernie is a small, well qualified team, all of whom have experience in the various aspects of Stud work, including the handling of broodmares, foals, weanlings and yearlings.
