Yarradale Stud offers superior care for your thoroughbred investment.  Our professional staff have many years' experience in looking after horses at all stages and your horse will be carefully monitored according to its individual requirements.

AGISTMENT

Yarradale Stud can provide agistment for your Mare, Mare and Foal, Weanlings, Yearlings and Spelling Racehorses.  All horses are checked and fed at least twice daily.  The horses are fed a diet formulated by Veterinarian Dr Kim Rose and Nutrition expert Dr Brad Hampton of Advanced Feeds.  During summer hay is always available. Mares close to foaling are monitored 24 hours a day in post and rail yards and are fitted with foaling alarms.  Boxes are available at all times and mares and foals can be stabled in case of inclement weather, or if otherwise necessary.  Our experienced Veterinary Surgeons are always on call.

WEANING

We are able to offer to our permanent boarders, a complete weaning, halter breaking and branding service.  We handle the foals with care and patience to ensure that they learn the basic lessons with confidence.

Our yearlings spend several months at our Harvey property where the irrigated pastures and carefully monitored, twice daily feeding programme gives them every opportunity to develop correctly.

Yarradale Stud has an enviable reputation for the preparation and presentation of yearlings at the annual Magic Millions Perth Premier Yearling Sale.  In consultation with Vets and Nutritionists, each yearling is carefully monitored during the preparation process to ensure that they reach their maximum sales potential and are given every opportunity of succeeding where it counts – on the racetrack.

Since 2005, Yarradale Stud has been able to offer to Clients, Veterinary Contracts for all Breeding requirements, in association with Dr Rachel Stone of Professional Equine Services.  We also call on Veterinarians from Ascot Equine Veterinarians, including Dr Kim Rose who has been associated with Yarradale Stud for over 8 years, and the Belvoir Equine Clinic.  During the Stud Season Dr Rachel Stone visits at least three days per week, and is on call 24 hours per day.  

The professional farriers, 4M Farrier Services visit the Stud weekly to ensure that all our horses receive regular attention.  Foals with conformational faults are examined regularly and, in association with Veterinary advice, treated where necessary.

Each season Yarradale Stud retains several fillies which will be raced before being retired to Stud.  Some of these fillies may be available to lease and enquiries in this regard are welcomed.

AGISTMENT RATES

Listed below are our Agistment Rates as from 1 July 2009.  We will keep our prices at the current rates for as long as possible, however they are constantly under review and may be adjusted at any time, without notice.
