In 2006, two first season sires will be standing at Yarradale Stud.

DE TROY (ARG), a handsome son of SOUTHERN HALO was a 1000m specialist and raced in both Argentina and the United States.  His race records stands at 24 starts for 6 wins, 6 seconds and 5 thirds, including 7 Stakes races for 1 win, 4 seconds and 2 thirds, including a 2nd at Gr1 and two 3rds at Gr3.  Southern Halo is also the sire of the exciting MORE THAN READY, a Gr1 sire of 118 winners, including 22 stakes winners since her entered stud in 2001.

Also new in 2006 is HERITAGE (AUS).  This young stallion is a half-brother to NORTHERLY, being by the Danehill horse Flying Spur, from North Bell.  From 5 foals, North Bell produced NORTHERLY, a multiple Group winner of over $9 million in stakes;  North Boy, a Group 2 and Listed winner;  and Northern Song, a Gr3 winner.  Flying Spur is the sire of 429 winners, including 43 stakes winners.  Heritage is unraced due to niggling lameness problems.

The only son of World Champion Sire of Sires, NUREYEV to stand in Western Australia, ZENTSOV STREET (USA) commenced stud duties in 2004 and has been warmly embraced by WA Breeders, with a number of black type mares being sent to him in both his first and second seasons.  His oldest progeny are weanlings, of exceptional type and great temperament.

CITIDANCER (IRE) continues to produce winners, with progeny earnings now over $15 million and a strike rate of 67.5% winners to runners.  His yearlings are popular at the sales, particularly with buyers from Asia and South Africa.  Current stakes winners include his colt Free Spirit racing in Penang, which won the Magic Millions Stakes and placed in the Penang Gold Cup in the 2005/06 racing season.  Citidancer is also developing into a sought after broodmare sire.

MEDAL OF HONOR (AUS), by sire of sires DANEHILL (USA) is from a family that has produced the proven sires Known Fact, Gone West and Lion Cavern.  His oldest progeny are 2 year olds and are gaining a reputation with local trainers as being ready made racehorses.
