Yarradale Stud can provide some short term agistment for mares, and mares with foals at foot during the breeding season. Unfortunately with the number of our own horses we cannot offer full time year round agistment.
If you are seeking agistment for a mare during the breeding season and your mare is booked to a Yarradale Stallion, please contact us on 08 9574 6490 to confirm availability.

Weaning
Foals are weaned at approximately 6-8 months of age. We handle the foals with care and patience to ensure that they learn the basic lessons with confidence.
The health and well being of the horses at Yarradale is a priority. We are fortunate in our proximity to Perth to have access a number of veterinarians with particular / advanced expertise in equine medicine, reproduction, etc.

Mark Maxwell, principal of 4M Farrier Services, along with his apprentices, visit the Gidgegannup property weekly to ensure that the horses of all ages and categories receive regular attention. Services provided are hot and cold shoeing, correctional trimming of foals with conformational problems (in conjunction with veterinary advice), and general trimming.
