Yarradale Stud manager Davy Hanratty predicted a pampered life for Valour Road in retirement and there’s been no reason to doubt it after his first week back home in Gidgegannup.

Beautifully-bred 3yo Daytona Pete continued Yarradale Stud’s winning run in December with a comprehensive victory in the Westspeed Platinum Sires Stakes (1200m) on Saturday.

Nonesospicy had to pass a vet inspection behind the barriers before completing a winning hat-trick in the Racing Towards Better Plate (1000m) at Ascot on Saturday.

Evergreen sprinter Valour Road has run his last race and will return home to Yarradale Stud on Wednesday.

Yarradale Stud graduate Daytona Pete was the top-priced colt at the 2023 Perth Magic Millions and he paid the first instalment of a $280,000 price-tag at Pinjarra on Sunday.
