Bradbury’s Luck 2yo Mishani Wrangler is heading for a hat-trick after a brave win at Rockhampton on Friday.

He got off the canvas to defeat Paradis Imperial after being headed by the hot-pot in the Paddock To Plate Hcp (1200m).  “Good, tough, on-speed win,” trainer Ben Currie tweeted.  “Travelled enormous.  Young horse going places.”

Mishani Wrangler had won on home turf at Toowoomba in May and another away assignment would be tempting with a QTIS 2YO Plate scheduled for Rockhampton Cup day on June 24.

Currie would welcome another stakes winner like Bradbury’s Luck mare Col ‘n’ Lil who was sold by stable client Kim McCasker to Yu Long Investments last month.  She dead-heated in the Listed Weetwood in April and then farewelled the stable with a Group 3 at Eagle Farm before relocating to Toby Edmonds.

Bradbury’s Luck is based at Yarradale Stud and he doubled up with 3yo grey filly Bred For Luck in a Toowoomba maiden on Saturday night.  Starting an odds-on favourite, she settled last and then scouted wide with a strong gallop through the line.

Bred For Luck is the only named foal of Miss Armidale (Armidale) who won over a mile at Eagle Farm & Doomben.

Class filly Make My Own Luck heads the current 2yo crop by Bradbury’s Luck as the season draws to a close.  A Toowoomba winner on debut, she was stakes-placed at Doomben and was all set to play a hand in the G2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes before a bad check put her out the back and on the sidelines with a leg injury.

Yarradale Stud stands Bradbury’s Luck (Redoute’s Choice) for a $4,400 (inc gst) fee.
