Sparingly-raced 4yo mare Enchanting Sound has given Yarradale Stud sire Gingerbread Man a second Saturday win in a row at Ascot.

It is with great sadness that Yarradale Stud said goodbye to War Chant (USA) on Thursday.  The 27-year-old stallion succumbed to the infirmities of old age at the Gidgegannup nursery that he had called home for over a decade.

War Chant (USA) warhorse Mood Swings took a while to win at black-type level but it was worth the wait for trainer George Dupre and owner Barry Evans.

The more they win the better the price is a saying as old as racing itself and it fitted Star Power to a tee when she was gunning for hat-trick at Ascot last Wednesday.

Gingerbread Man gelding Ima Single Man has broken a runs of outs in Hong Kong with an adventurous all-the-way victory in the Heung Yee Kuk Cup (1200m) at Sha Tin.
