The Kalgoorlie carnival is all done for another year leaving some racegoers very dusty in the wake of home-town wins in the LR Kalgoorlie Cup (2300m) and LR Hannans Hcp (1400m).

Yarradale Stud’s week-on-week winning run this season went to another level with an interstate double on Wednesday by its resident sires Gingerbread Man (Malkar Pindari) and War Chant (Rockeby Road).

Trainers Grant and Alana Williams are looking forward to this year’s KBRC Goldfields Round with a team headed by Red Fifty Three (Gingerbread Man) who races for syndicate managed by Elio Galante.

Well-bred 3yo Insyde Success sent trainer Steve Wolfe and his stable jockey Shaun McGruddy past another milestone after the son of War Chant (USA) scored on debut at Northam on Monday.

Gingerbread Man kept the till ticking over with two winners this week ahead of Saturday’s LR Farnley Stakes (1400m) at Belmont.
